How did you personally become involved in fintech?

I have always been fascinated with capital markets. As a Finance major in college I took every class related to capital markets to promote my knowledge and understanding of this dynamic industry. I began my career working in a wealth management firm which involved building investment portfolios for high net worth individuals. I then spent time in corporate finance and merger and acquisition roles for several years before joining TNS in 2011.

At TNS I have enjoyed the opportunity to expand my experience further and have added operations, sales, strategy and product responsibilities to my remit. This cross functional experience enables me to give a unique perspective on our organization and the fintech industry as a whole.

What does your firm do/offer within the fintech sector?

Our robust secure trading infrastructure services are relied on by the global financial markets for mission-critical connectivity, managed hosting and FIX hub services where speed, security and resilience are paramount. Our extensive global financial community of interest includes many of the world’s most influential buy and sell-side institutions, market data and software vendors, exchanges and alternative trading venues. To these and many other transaction oriented businesses we provide a global platform which can be leveraged to minimize speed to market for new services. We provide an easy path to achieving geographical expansion and, wherever you are located, a single connection to a great many potential customers.

Through one provider, financial organizations can deploy their trading infrastructure in all of the leading financial data centers and connect to multiple trading partners, liquidity sources, stock exchanges and service providers.

What has been the biggest success in your firm to date?

We are extremely proud of the suite of hosting and market data services we have developed. These provide a vital service to traders, making it easier and more cost-effective to trade with new markets with the flexibility to respond quickly to changing demands. Among our 2,000+ strong financial community of interest we can offer connectivity to more than 260 market feeds.

Our Managed Hosting, Co-Location and Connectivity Service, which launched in 2016, has been greeted with much excitement in the industry and following growing interest from financial market participants we have expanded this to cover many new key financial hubs in the US, Europe and Asia pacific region, including New York, Chicago, Frankfurt and Sydney, among others.
