How did you personally become involved in fintech?

My career in financial services has spanned more than 30 years, specializing in credit card products, users and industry trends. Before being appointed president and general manager at CreditCardForum I was director of marketing and consumer research at CreditCards.com, tasked with developing original content and managing online advertising and account relationships. This built on my past experience managing major co-branded credit card relationships, including with Southwest Airlines and Reader’s Digest, as well as devising and overseeing new reward programs for major issuers.

In my financial services career I have been a keen follower of technological trends and have seen how fintech developments have impacted credit card products and consumer usage. I have also seen how online information providers have come to play a vital role in informing and connecting financial services customers.

What does your firm do/offer within the fintech sector?

CreditCardForum is a one-stop resource for and by consumers seeking in-depth information, opinions and advice on credit cards that also allows for immediate comparison and application to preferred cards.

It serves as a public forum where members can address questions and provide tips on credit card management. My team provides in-depth card reviews and cover the latest developments in the marketplace, helping consumers make informed make informed choices while optimizing usage.  CreditCardForum is a go-to site for thousands of credit-card users each week seeking information and constructive peer-to-peer engagement with the aim of strengthening their financial bottom line.

How do you feel consumers are adapting to the facet of fintech that your company operates within?

Online information providers play an increasingly important role in the financial services industry, both helping to explain and promote new innovations to the market but also hold issuers to account by way of peer review, objective research and analysis of consumer sentiment.

The fintech revolution is all about handing consumers greater power to make financial decisions, eliminating the influence of the middle men. Services like CreditCardForum aid that power shift by ensuring the choices consumers make are more informed.
