Concerns about privacy? That may make 20% of bitcoin users stop using it? Kidding, right? Have those potential “quitters” ever had their bank account hacked? Instagram or Facebook “secrets” hijacked? Come on, bitcoin users, get real.
Privacy is the hot topic in all facets of technology of course, but it is especially top of mind in the fintech sector. Included in that fintech sector is digital currency led by bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So, how do users of the currencies assess the very privacy the “new money” provides?
Three German scientists conducted a study of active bitcoin users to investigate the privacy awareness and any potential concerns. So, randomly selecting users and their concerns/knowledge/etc of bitcoin and the blockchain technology and concluded that perhaps 20% may abandon bitcoin. Great read for awareness.
