And the Winner is… “

Pitch Investors Live” App Announces Contest Winner, Start of Second Contest for Entrepreneurs and Those Who Refer Them

Fort Lauderdale, FL – July 25, 2017

Selected from hundreds of entrepreneurs via the “Pitch Investors Live” app, Caribu has been announced as the winner of its last pitch competition. Caribu is an education platform that allows family and mentors to read and draw with children from afar, and is similar to a combination of FaceTime and Kindle for kids. Additionally, Pitch Investors Live officially announces the commencement of its next contest to select even more winners, as well as provide monetary prizes for entrepreneurs and the people who helped refer the winner.

“We are so delighted by Caribu, our first winner,” said Matthew Lally, CEO of 2UP Technology, Inc. “The app is truly providing a much needed platform for our active military members and veterans, stationed away from home to connect with their loved ones. It gives our service men and women a chance to read and draw with their children from any location in the world.”

In the newly launched contest, similar to the last contest, Brandon Young, an investor that’s using Pitch Investors Live, will select the winner from any of the pitches made on the app. The winning entrepreneur will receive $1000. Plus, if you referred the person who wins the prize, you will receive a monetary prize too. The contest rewards all related referrals. “The Pitch Investors Live App is a tremendous way to increase my access to new investable entrepreneurs and businesses and being a judge for this contest allows me to review hundreds of pitches from the convenience of my home or office,” Young said. “The last contest was a lot of fun because I was able to spend time really looking into each applicant. After very careful consideration, I chose Caribu as the winner - we are currently in discussions to raise a seed round.”

“Winning this contest provides us with much more than the prize money,” said Maxeme Tuchman, CEO & co-founder of Caribu. “This win means a lot to us and we are very excited. We received a lot of exposure as a result of participating in the pitch contest, and we’re currently in discussions with a consortium of investors because of the Pitch Investors Live app and I’m grateful for that opportunity.”

Pitch Investors Live is an innovative video app that helps entrepreneurs and startups connect to find suitable funding from real investors. With this app, investors now have the convenience of using a simple and intuitive platform to quickly and easily screen entrepreneurial teams, and to watch as they are screened by other investors and experts. Additionally, entrepreneurs have the benefit of watching, learning and/or pitching their own endeavors.

Lally added, “We hope to find another startup with a one-of-a-kind idea for our upcoming contest. Our hope is to keep highlighting companies that make a real difference.”
