Bitcoin

By Bill Taylor/Contributor Slow summer time is just perfect for a great "Who Done It" mystery read. Or, in this case, a "Who Did It". Who did what? Why "invent"

BITCOIN

of course. With lots of time on people's hands during the summer it only makes sense to look into Satoshi Nakamoto's real identity. For those who don't know who the elusive Satoshi is lets just say he/she/it is widely credited with developing

BITCOIN

.

Or

did he/she/it?

OR

, is Satoshi just a cover up? Bitcoin.com has just published a piece about a couple of online journalists with

WAY

to much time on their hands, who decided to do some research and began requesting documents from the U.S CIA, the FBI, the NSA and Yahoo News (joking on the last one.....but ya never know). Not surprisingly, the requests were met with dead ends. Being denied information on the basis of a FOIA (Freedom Of Information Act) request with the normal "Sorry, National Security", "Sorry, incomplete information" or "We will get back to you" should not be a surprise.

BUT

, the investigator journalists were intrigued by a response from the CIA stating

“request has been rejected, with the agency stating that it can neither confirm nor deny the existence of the requested documents.”

Oh, now the paranoia and mystery swings into full force. So, does the CIA, FBI, NSA and People Magazine (joking again.....or am I?) know who Satoshi is? Is Satoshi an alien from another galaxy? A foreign county's (Russia, China, Iran, etc) intelligence agency? Was

BITCOIN

designed to be a disruptive algorithm to be called upon later to destroy a county's financial system? Who, what why! Is there a massive cover up under way? Actually one unidentified source (are there other kinds?) was sure the Obama administration was concerned that

BITCOIN

might be weaponized to use against the U.S. in the future. Obviously knowing who/what Satoshi is would be quite valuable and top secret.

So, aliens, foreign intelligence agencies, rogue hackers, etc. are all still a mystery with the alias of Satoshi Nakamoto. Perhaps, maybe, could be the answers were on Hillary Clinton's destroyed emails?
