Here come earnings. Today was a quiet and uninteresting day for US equities. Blackrock & JB Hunt were the only S&P 500 companies to report and both disappointed. BLK fell and JBHT rallied. That’s kind of interesting but the broader market didn’t take notice either positively or negatively. The big action begins after today’s close with Netflix’s results… after that we have 65 more S&P 500 firms reporting this week. Lots to learn.

Chances are earnings & revenues will be perceived as good-to-great for the broader market. I expect a very positive narrative for this earnings season to form this week.

We shall see.

There’s nothing else worth mentioning at this point.

See you

tomorrow

-Mike

PS - NFLX just reported nice beats. Stock is up 13 points in the after hours market.
