MCLEAN, VA, June 15, 2017 – Folio Institutional announced today that 77 RIA firms are using its Advisor ConnexionTM (AcX) robo advisor solution to improve client engagement and reduce administrative costs. Folio’s AcX was launched in 2014, and RIAs of all sizes continue to express interest in its features.

Advisors using AcX can quickly launch their own digital investing service, giving their clients a completely online account opening and funding experience. In addition, advisors can choose to add pricing plan options, their advisory agreement and an investor questionnaire that automatically maps clients to a designated model strategy or allocation based on their responses.

“Advisors value AcX because it, along with our fractional share and model management technology, allows them to tailor the amount of online and in-person service they provide clients – regardless of account size – improve client engagement and control their firm’s bottom line,” said Greg Vigrass, president of Folio Institutional. “Folio’s suite of proven and innovative digital-investing technology meets the needs of a range of advisors as well as banks, credit unions and insurance companies.”

Those that have incorporated AcX into their practice include Inspire Investing, Geasphere Advisors and these firms :

  • 4Thought Financial Group – “The more we looked into it, there were problems with all of them,” said Jesse Mackey, chief investment officer, when speaking of the robo advisor solutions other custodians had suggested. “Using an outside solution provider wasn’t what we wanted. With Folio, it’s all built in, and it’s included in the cost.” (Read more about Mackey’s experience with AcX.)
  • Parker Financial Planning, LLC – "We look for opportunities to make it easy for a client to do business with us," said Chris Parker, principal of Parker Financial Planning. "Advisor Connexion contributed to this capability. Some do-it-yourself clients will want to have the choice of a digital experience, while others prefer a more one-on-one experience with our advisors. We now have flexibility with our service while our clients get choice."
  • PTS Asset Management –"Linking with Folio Institutional allows us to offer integrated online services,” according to Bill Wadsworth, PTS Asset Management general partner. “We can meet the demands of a fast-paced world with an automated, paperless process that combines billing, performance reporting and other features. PTS is glad to work with Folio Institutional."
Folio’s innovative online investing services also include its API Service that delivers complete control over an investing website’s look, feel and functionality, and, like AcX, is combined with a powerful back-end clearing and custody program. Folio will soon launch a new online investing platform specifically designed for advisory firms trying to reach the novice investor. Vigrass added, “As Folio Institutional plans its next generation of digital wealth management tools, we will continue to deliver innovations that help advisors give all clients fair and equal treatment.” Advisors may contact a Folio Institutional sales team member to learn more about AcX and Folio’s other innovative, online investing services.
