Orion Advisor Services has long been known as one of the technology behemoths in the financial planning industry. Recently, the firm has opened new offices in Philadelphia and announced a number of integrations. Then this week, we received additional word of two brand new integrations partnerships back to back, one with FinMason and the other with Asset-Map, in advance of their annual national Ascent 2018 conference being held in Miami next month.

One of the new partners, FinMason, has recently done a firm pivot, and now has an offering that integrates into the backend of technology partners, rather than a forward-facing branded product which it came to market with previously. (We love a good, scrappy pivot story!) The firm offers an institutional-grade investment planning product via its native Monte Carlo financial projection services, which are now integrated onto the Orion platform.

According to CEO Kendrick Wakerman of FinMason, “(t)he need in the wealth management community for financial planning tools that are simple to use, readily accessible, and seamlessly integrated has never been greater.”

CEO & Founder of Orion Eric Clarke commented, "

W

e believe advisors work best, and most efficiently, when they are empowered to build a tech stack that fits their unique business needs.”

To that end, Orion's second tech integration announcement on the heels of the FinMason partnership press release was with another interesting wealth-tech we recently caught up with, Asset-Map. The firm provides a visual depiction of client's financial health including income streams, investments and more.

According to the announcement, with this integration, advisors can now access Orion household data directly through Asset-Map's platform to get a deeper view on the details about their client’s performance, documents, statements, and allocations in a clean, one-page visual summary. This means that advisors can now easily show their clients a more informative snapshot of their financial landscape.

Asset-Map CEO Adam Holt commented, "We’ve seen a trend in the financial services industry of advisors needing their digital advice solutions to create clearer and more actionable meeting experiences."

Orion has an already robust suite of integration partners including Junxure, Redtail, eMoney, Redblack, Salesforce and many others. With these new integration partners, their tech stack offering only strengthens further.
