Speak Fintech Being that we publish a site about fintech, we obviously LOVE the genre, and have several other websites we love in the space as well. One is Tearsheet (previously TradeStreaming) and we're giving 100% credit to them on this VERY FUNNY fintech jargon list they've put together below. In fact, we do it all the time, too. We recently met with a large trading exchange, and in addition to covering them editorially, I suggested they consider doing some "branded content to establish a more consistent and controlled conversation with our audience". The two incredibly accomplished and brilliant individuals sitting opposite us looked at me as if I was speaking a new and strange foreign language they'd never heard before, and our CEO quickly stepped in and said "Let me translate for you. I speak Cindy - she's asking you for money!" So we've got our jargon, too. Anyway, check it out - it's a fun read!"

(Cindy Taylor/Publisher)

"Financial technology is so riddled with jargon it’s no wonder companies can’t explain what they do or how they’re actually solving the problem they’re trying to solve. And potential customers and buyers of the products and services this industry is building end up feeling a little excluded from this world – kind of like the old finance industry they’re working so hard to make more accessible to the masses.
