We’ve been moving around a bit on our “Deals of the Day”, and ESPECIALLY last week, when yours truly was under the weather. But we’re back and we heard about a WHOPPER deal. Payoneer, which is used by the likes of Google, Amazon, and AirB&B has raised a $180M Series E round from Technology Crossover Ventures, which makes total VC funding of $270M to date for the company. So that’s a nice big chunk of change they received, and interesting timing, given the firm is not a newbie, and was founded in 2005.
They have two primary business silos – helping SMBs make online overseas payments and helping mammoth tech firms such as Google, Airbnb and Amazon suppliers around the world. The firm is Israeli-based.
