OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orion Advisor Services, LLC ("Orion"), the premier portfolio management solution provider for registered investment advisors, today announces open registration for its two most anticipated events of the year, Ascent, its flagship user training conference, and FUSE, the industry’s largest gathering of financial services technology developers, programmers, and integration partners. Typically held separately, this year Orion will host both events Sept. 5-7, 2018, at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida.

“We are absolutely thrilled to combine our advisor training conference with our fifth annual FUSE integration partner conference,” said Eric Clarke, founder and CEO of Orion. “By combining them, we’re creating even more opportunities for our users and technology partners to connect, have fun, and stay ahead of a rapidly changing financial services landscape.”

Headlined by baseball innovator Billy Beane, whose powerful keynote will highlight ways to find a competitive advantage in unexpected places, the event will provide an exclusive first look at Orion’s technology roadmap and include customizable learning tracks with more than 60 workshops. Covering business intelligence, trading, billing, reporting, client experience, new-user orientation and more, users will have the opportunity to hone their skills for Orion’s tried-and-true capabilities, and dive into the newest product enhancements, like its portfolio optimization tool, ASTRO, and compliance technology, Compass. In addition, the event will feature a number of top industry thought leaders, including the Reformed Broker, Josh Brown, sharing insights and strategies to propel advisor growth.

On the final day of the conference, Orion alongside its integration partners will be pushing the limits of innovation with a debut of “Tech’s Got Talent”. Orion integration partners have been challenged to code their most disruptive and game-changing integrations, and then present in front of an advisor-filled audience with discussion and voting led by Joel Bruckenstein and a panel of other industry thought leaders. To participate, integration partners must submit their entries online. Only the firms with the top ideas will be invited to join Orion at the event, where they will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life by the pool at an opulent, private waterfront villa. The top three finalists will then present at the Ascent 2018 meeting, where client attendees and judges will choose a winner.

“The new event unites the audiences of FUSE and Ascent, and reinforces Orion’s philosophy for connection and collaboration,” said Brad Burgess, chief technology officer of Orion.

But true to Orion form, the events won’t be all work and no play. Participants will have an opportunity to kick-back and enjoy unforgettable entertainment and activities, including a can’t-miss 90’s throwback concert, an hour-long private speedboat charter down the Port of Miami, an airboat tour of the Florida Everglades, a culinary exploration of Little Havana, and a host of beachside games. Attendees also will have the chance to join the fight against hunger with community service opportunities through Rise Against Hunger.

“The goal of both Ascent and FUSE has always been to create unique opportunities for attendees,” said Randy Lambert, president of Orion. “This year more than any other, we’re focused on creating an environment that fosters collaboration, creativity, and camaraderie, as we further build a community of support for our clients and technology partners.”

Online registration for Ascent is available here. Attendees who register before June 30 can take advantage of Early Bird tickets at $699. Check the registration page for more pricing details.
