Note from the Publisher:  Most FintekNews readers are well acquainted with Overstock.com, and we must confess we've spent a few (thousand) dollars there over the years.  We think it's a great site.  Many may - or may not - also be aware that Overstock is heavily invested in digital currency and blockchain research.  They have a new head of Medici (their blockchain lab), who is also their chairman, and a former Utah governor candidate.  Jonathan Johnson will oversee that division and the t0 efforts (that's a zero, not an O) which is involved in the development of the Short Token, a product that moves stock loans to the blockchain.  Overstock is also invested in fintech firms Bitt and PeerNova.
